The Shifting Twilight
We are spending out first night under the sea in Seabright, a special habitat designed by Sir Max. It sits on the ocean floor all the world like a natural reef with some exotic additions and spurious attachments. Sea plants and corals of every color and species flourish along the curved walls, cascading down and dancing up with every rhythmical movement of the sea. The windows shine, faceted crystaline bubbles that burst into rainbows at every movement of the life and color inside and out. The habitat is dry inside and temperature controlled for it contains the library of the Oceanic Arcanum and it is indeed a priviledge to spend the night in the midst of such knowledge. I am hoping some of the wisdom will seep into my dreams for we are truly among the Masters of the Deep now.
Aside from the awesome aspects of our surroundings, it helps the spirits considerably that the habitat is cozy and bright and well stocked with all variety of food and drink of the elvin kind. We've had a bit of a celebration, but seeing as how we meet with Sir Max and begin our underwater journey at dawn's light I have sent the whole lot of my dear magical beings into the pixel twilight. I sleep very little now, for watching the dreams of the others, protecting their fragile exsistence in yet another new realm. Wart is nuzzled at my side having found to his relief, and mine, that he survived the dive and can also swim underwater. He still wouldn't try to breath without the air tank but then, there is always tomorrow.
Phee's Note:
What would your "underwater habitat" look like? Would it be like a house humans live on land except airtight or would it look more like a shell or a cave? What would you eat under the sea? For inspiration, look for stories about Captain Nemo by Jules Verne. Don't limit yourself by what you read. It is only a guideline, information that you can use any way you desire. You are free to design habitats and write stories using your own ideas
This ends the Second part of our tale, preparing for the Underwater Aquarium Expedition. Please e-mail Phee and tell us how you are enjoying it so far. Also, we would love to see you artwork and stories!
