Aliens Among Us, Page 4 {BACK A PAGE}

         We did send a delegation of our keenest observers to the sight to explore it more scientifically (well, we are very scientific in our own way, you know). The whole area had been swept clean and redecorated, so to speak, to look just like an undisturbed (by man) natural scene with not so much as a piece of chain link fence to tell of its passing.

         Now who do you suppose would have done such a thing?

         So, as usual we didn't find that proof the human world needs to pronounce something real, but we did find Flakie's faithful donkey Blue, still munching and ambling about and it's a sure thing he witnessed more than we'll ever get out of him.

Flakie and Blue

         This is only a rumor of course, but we've heard through the grapevine that a boutique selling mostly fey amethyst jewelry, has recently opened up in Portland, Oregon.

         The locals are convinced the new owner is from the foothills of Santa Cruz, California, as she bears a remarkable resemblance to an old Hippie, and Santa Cruz, as we all know, is where all the old Hippies went many years ago, long before they ever knew about Oregon.

         However, there is one striking difference. Besides the long hair, dirty fingernails and strange clothes, this lady is not mellow at all. She has one vile temper and the most terrible bad breath and isn't it keeping her boutique empty of customers?

         Does she care? Not one twit. Now what do you think? Could it be Flakie's own cranky Troll, and a female one, at that? And if it is, just who financed this fancy boutique? These are new and interesting questions to explore and we'll be sending a team to Portland very soon to investigate.

         Now I hope you are beginning to see how it goes in the world of story telling. Just anything at all is worthy of giving your eye and ear to, because you never know how it can weave itself around into something quite wonderful and even mysteriously real.
